CRAFT YOUR PERSONAL STYLE LIKE PM OF INDIA MR. NARENDRA MODI!

Personal brand is the first impression you make when you walk into a room and every single impression you make every day, the key to branding is making a consistent impression.

As said in my earlier post, the world judges you in the first few seconds of meeting you and if you don’t grab attention in that tiny window of time you can be losing on opportunity coming your way.
And the key to this is a need to transform the first impression to lasting relationships.

If you captivate, inspire and treat your audience in the first few seconds they will listen to what you want to say and like and start trusting you. Your personal brand is the doorway to your inner world however this door has to differentiate you and has to match to the topic of the work.

Unless you do not become the most important asset in your business, people will not choose to do business with you. Along with the overall appearance of the brand and the brand ambassador, content definitely has to be rock-solid to support it. However information doesn’t sell alone regardless of how good it is, people can find the information on internet, but it is all about how you make the audience feel and trust your content that differentiate you as a personal brand.

In the domain of Indian politics today, there is only one man who understands the value of personal branding than anyone else, he is SHRI NARENDRA DAMODARDAS MODI.
He is the magnificent case study in the annals of image management study in the current state.
Today lets understand the art of crafting your personal brand based on the life study of our great leader Mr. Modi.

1.       UNDERSTAND YOUR CORE VALUES

Born on September 17th, 1950 at Vadnagar, a small town in Mehsana district of North Gujrat, Sri Narendra modi grew up in a culture that instilled in him the value of Generosity, benevolence and social service.

2.       CREATE A BRAND IMAGE.

This makes you conscious and strategic about how you show up for yourself and others and how you live your personal brand on day-today life.
It’s the basic understanding how you want the audience to perceive you and that is exactly where the slogans of Mr. Modi came in picture.
AB KI BAR MODI SARKAR
JANTA MAAF NAHI KAREGI
ACCHE DIN ANE WALE HAI

3.       CREATE A SPECIFIC PHYSICAL APPEARANCE, STYLE AND WARDROBE

The fashion icon NARENDRA MODI has made his simple short sleeves white kurta with colored bandgala jacket, a style statement for many followers. Be it a simple party meeting to a national speech event, the closed neck jackets cannot be missed on him. Known for traditional cotton and silk kurtas that reflect his image, Modi’s clothing style and its color palette has evolved over years, mostly favouring bright colors especially orange.
Another peculiarity of him is that being the prime minister of India, he prefers to address all his speeches national or international in the Hindi language only. He is ensuring that Hindi earns its rightful place as a recognised world language.

4.       CREATE A TITLE THAT POSITIONS YOU AS A LEADER.

The campaign that started NAMO4PM took a new shape after the announcement of PM candidature. A perfect plan was made to
Leverage the popularity of NAMO through various platforms like social media and merchandise items.
                                                                                +

DOES YOUR BUSINESS CARD MAKE A LASTING IMPRESSION!

Ok lets face this !
How many business cards do you collect and give every day?
From the people you meet, how many business cards really make an impression in your mind and you ensure to keep that card aside and not in the your regular stack of cards.

Anybody can make a business card.
But a very few people create the perfect business card for their unique needs.

What’s so difficult about printing your name, job title and contact information on a piece of paper………… Nothing really right!
If you are among those thousands of mediocre people, you shall have the your card as mediocre as theirs.

But if you ask me, I want you to have a business card that makes you referable. It’s the first impression about your business in your presence or absence.
People would like to share your information with their contacts and this visiting card punches that impression about your business in your absence.
And I want you to have that perfect card which signifies the perfect meaning of you and your business.

Sharing a few tips for you all…….

1.       Know your business right.

Depending on how successful you are, the contact information has to be more crisp and sharp. Need not mention the private contact numbers by which you can avoid a lot of unwanted calls, it can be replaced by an attractive email  or linkedin address.
The look of the business card and the information written on it depends entirely on the owner how he would like to project himself to the audience.
The better strategy is to have a new business card which highlights a few special skills. By this certainly I don’t mean you squeeze in your full resume but ensure the information is enough to create the positive first impression.

2.       Keep it simple

I have come across a few visiting cards which are filled with so much information scattered all around that small piece of paper. Ensur eteh information you want to put is placed well with enough space around. Ensure your card is readable enough with simple font. Not every one has a clear vision. The font size should not exceed 12pt and not below 8 pt.

3.       Quality of the card.

Ensure that the colour and quality of your card you choose is appropriate to your business need. It can definitely follow the colour of your brand, but if the colour is dark ensure that the other side is light enough for the client to make some notes if required. Avoid using a glossy paper, as the pen marks do not last for long on a glossy sheet.

4.       Make sure the contact information is accurate.

A business card with an inaccurate information of useless. Ensure that the contact information mentioned in this card is appropriate and accurate.
If you are in the transition of changing profession, never give out the previous profession visiting card it gives a very wrong impression of you as it contains the contact information and email address of the last company.
Include several options for people to reach you, especially if you are active on social media ensure that all the links are mentioned in the card.

5.       Keep your business card very professional

You may be one of those quirky and unusual people, but do not mention that on your business card with some weird email addresses and names.
It does not sound cool to all the professional people and you may be mistaken to be irresponsible.
Emails that are under the gmail or Hotmail outlook umbrella are acceptable, but stay away from emails that spell and sound weird and difficult to remember.

6.       Have atleast 30 - 50 cards with you any given point of time.

Opportunities do not come with a prior information, therefore stocking yourself with sufficient number of cards with you all the times.
Pls pls pls do not hand over the card which is bent or looks shabby, its just so appropriate and disrespectful. For men, try not to keep the card in your back pocket the card tends to bend and mould.
Invest in a smart case to keep you business cards well, and incase of emergency you can keep a few like 5 pieces in your jacket or shirt pocket for emergency times.

COLOR MY STYLE!

Did you know the color you wore this morning is due to the impact of the mood that you carried when you got up from your sleep.
Intuition and dressing play an important role, specially when we have planned to wear an outfit and then find ourselves reaching for another one just because our heart said so and surprisingly we are so right in doing so.
It’s not logic that guides us but our inner instincts.

But most of the times we wear what we think is the best and our most flattering choice and we forget to experiment the clothing that we were drawn to while buying them.
It is normally the subconscious mind that tell us what our mood is which color will compliment us for the day, if you follow this most of the times you can see that you will have a day as per your wish and mood. However for instance if the sub conscious mind is drawing you mind towards red for that day, but for some reasons you land up wearing the color Black or white there will definitely be some mix match in your mind and action throughout the day.

The color is processed on the right side of the brain which is the intuitive side, while we process shapes on the left side of the brain which is the intellectual side. Because your mood change on daily basis you need different color requirements to keep you in healthy balance.
Light enters our body through the skin, even when clothed we experience the wavelength of the burning sunlight when if stood in the sun for long.

Eyes see color as light, retina than converts these light vibrations to electrical impulses. Even a blind person can tell if the color is warm or cool and guage its intensity via their fingertips. The effect to color does not end when we close our eyes, it affects our system till the cellular level.

Each of the system in our body Is associated with a different color vibration, when the body is lacking one color in our spectrum the system related to that color suffers. Our intuition may be guiding subconsciously to wear that color to heal and protect us. The fact is that our eyes absorb only 25% of the color that is seen the rest 75% is absorbed by the body to help and support the nervous and immune system.

This is where the color therapy came in existence. A healthy steady flow of colored energy can free us from mental and emotional blockages and pre-empt the onset of physical disease.

One of the ways we can do this by wearing specific colors to help us get back to our balance in life. Below is the overview of how it is aligned.

BLACK :
Black is the color of authority and power. It is polular in fashion because it makes people appear thinner. It is also stylish and timeless. Black implies submission, therefore priets wear black to signify submission to God. Black outfit can also be overpowering and make the person look evil.

RED :
The most emotionally intense color, it stimulates faster heartbeats and breathing. It is the color of Love. Red gets noticed and makes the wearer appear heavier. Since it is an extreme color red clothing might not help people in negotiations and confrontations. Normally even decorators use the red color to attract attention.

 WHITE:
Brides wear white to symbolize innocence and purity. White reflects light and is considered as summer cool. White is popular in decorating and in fashion because it is light and can be matched with any other color.

BLUE :
The color of the sky and ocean. It causes the opposite reaction to red. Peaceful, tranquil it causes the body to produce calming chemicals. Fashion consultants recommend wearing blue to job interviews because it symbolises loyalty.

GREEN:
Currently the most popular decorating color, it symbolises nature, It is the easiest color on the eye and can improve vision. People waiting to appear on TV sit in the green rooms to relax. Brides in middle ages wore green to symbolise fertility. Seamstresses often refuse to use green thread on the eve of fashion show for fear that it will bring bad luck

YELLOW:
Cheerful, sunny yellow is attention getter. While it is considered as an optimistic color. It is also themost difficult color to the eye to take in so it can be overpowering if overused.

PURPLE:
The color of loyalty, luxury, wealth and sophistication. It is also feminine and romantic. However becauseit is rarein nature purple can appear artificial.

BROWN:
It is the color of earth. Lt brown implies genuineness while dk brown can imply stability. Brown can also be sad and wistful. Men are more apt to say brown is one of their favourite colors.
